The Beach Retreat

Some of the exciting places and things to see around Pearl Beach. The beach is magnificent but then again so is the view from the "Look Out", or the mystery of the swimming holes above the "Water Fall". The rock pools on the way to "Flat Head Beach" always have something to look at.

If you are into Australia Flora right next door (30 second walk) is the "Crommelin Native Arboretum" with it's numerous Australian tree and plant species. This is where the annual Jazz Festival is held each January.

The Beach (6 minutes level stroll from the house)

The Lookout (20-30 minute easy - but hilly - hike up the fire access road from the house). It's on the Way to Patonga. You can also hike to Patonga for lunch or mountain bike the track for some excitement. Just remember the water bottles.

The road up Caves 1/3 of the way to the Lookout

See from...Palm Beach Headland (small land mass)......to....... Brisbane Waters.......to....... Patonga

The pools beyond the Waterfall. (15 minute walk from the house) Kids playing in the Fresh rain water filled sandy bottom billabong.
